Wanted to see if I could get to Skyline without using Old La Honda since that is reported to be crowded due to the HWY 84 closure. Went up Alpine (which becomes a trail at the top) for the first time in forever. Lots of storm issues including trees across the trail (mostly managed) and mud. Not really ready yet for convenient transit. Should be nice (if less pretty) when this year's project is done on the 'bypass' around the collapsed section and it is no longer a narrow, steep trail there.
