A retromod timeline mashup of a 1990 Ti frame, 2007 Campagnolo group set, 2015 wheelset and a few modern parts built in 2023. Frame arrived structurally sound but having been partially painted in white by a previous owner then 'wrapped' in a pattern overlay by the last owner. Along the way, the original paint was damaged, painted over poorly then plastidipped to cover it up. It wasn't looking sharp. On arrival, when through a process of heat gun and prying to remove the wrap followed by 3 rounds of chemical strip and scrape to get to bare titanium. A bit of high-grit rubbing brought back the brushed shine. A previous owner had converted the fork to carbon fiber and threadless with a Chris King headset. But it arrived with both a slam-cut Columbus fork and a no-name fork with longer steerer. So decisions to make. I found a low miles 10 speed Campagnolo Record Carbon/Ti group set to go with the Ti and black theme. Add a somewhat newer set of Mavic wheels with red hubs for some bling. A few surprises along the way like some non-metric threads for frame mounts etc. and it became this.
