Nicolas and I took a few days to go explore the Lakes Basin in the Sierra - about an hour north of Tahoe. We went through Downieville (famous for the Downieville Downhill MTB run) and ended up camping at Gold Lake. From there we went riding, hiking and driving to various sights. Weather was cold and windy for two days then glorious sun the final day.
